Susanna Monty

Susanna lived in Kingsand each summer throughout her childhood and adolescence. Now a successful and well established photographer in New York she lives and works there full time. However Susanna continues to regularly visit and photograph the peninsular that she loves so deeply. Here her photographs of old decaying boat hulls at Southdown Marina have a wonderful abstract quality yet capture their weathered images permanently for all to see. Her photographs play with texture, light and colour to depict everyday images as never before seen.
